The Ford Center, located in Evansville, Indiana, serves as a key landmark in the city’s downtown revitalization efforts. Designed by Populous and brought to life by Hunt Construction, the facility is known for its distinctive architectural elements, including sweeping curves that echo the horseshoe bend of the nearby Ohio River. John W. McDougall Company contributed to this vision by fabricating 290,000 square feet of ACM 400 Series panels for the center’s exterior.
Completed in 2011, the Ford Center is LEED Silver certified, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability. The facility is home to the Evansville Purple Aces basketball team and the IceMen hockey team, offering a state-of-the-art venue for sports, concerts, and community events. Its innovative design and environmental features have solidified the Ford Center as a cornerstone of Evansville’s ongoing urban development.
