Lentz Public Health Center
Architect: Gresham Smith & Partners
General Contractor: Bell / ICF Construction
Designed to meet LEED Silver Certification
Developed in a public-private partnership between the Metro Public Health Department and Healthcare Corporation of America, the new three-story 106,000 square foot Lentz Public Health Center was designed to support sustainability and promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Featuring nearly double the number of exam rooms, a demonstration kitchen for training on healthy eating, dental clinic and both indoor and outdoor walking tracks, the facility will house 300 Metro Public Health Department employees and aid in the revitalization of the Charlotte Pike area near downtown.
John W. McDougall Co., Inc. fabricated over 20,000 square feet of aluminum composite material using our Series 400 Rain Screen wall panel system. ACM was a perfect companion material for this project, providing a modern aesthetic for the deep radius while working well with the more traditional materials.
